If you don’t know, Digimon The Movie was a compilation of the first three movies. The plots of the first and second movie were slighlty edited and the plot of the third movie was entirely edited to fight into the same plotline. To make up for this, I have uploaded the first three movies subbed and unaltered with their original plots. Enjoy, btw I have also uploaded Digimon The Movie, so if you want to watch the dub (and why would you?) you can.
The first story focused on Tai and Kari Kamiya four years before their adventure in the Digital World. It shows their first encounter with Digimon and what happened to them (as well as the other children that saw it became the other DigiDestined) when they participated in their first Digimon battle after raising a quickly growing Botamon. The movie was used in episodes of Digimon Adventure to explain why Taichi and company became DigiDestined.

Digimon Movie 2 – Our War Games
The second story shows many of the DigiDestined, but primarily focuses on Matt, Tai, Izzy, and T.K., as they end up saving the day when a computer virus Digimon raises havoc all over the world through the Internet. The kids must stop the evil Digimon quickly before he provokes the launching of a nuclear ICBM aimed at Japan (where the kids live). Our War Game! appears to be inspired by the 1983 film, WarGames.

Digimon Movie 3 – Digimon Hurricane Touchdown/Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimental
The third movie involves the next generation of DigiDestined children after they travel from Japan to the U.S.A. and meet up with Willis, helping him to stop the menace of an enigmatic threat. As a kid, Willis was given two twin Digimon, a Gummymon and a Kokomon. But one day Kokomon mysteriously disappeared without a trace, returning later as the ruthless Wendigomon.

Digimon: The Movie
Digimon: The Movie, released in the U.S. and Canada territory by Fox Kids in October 2000, consists of the union of the first three Japanese Digimon movies (which were released separately in Japan). The first two parts are from Digimon Adventure and the 3rd part from Digimon Adventure 02. Those stories are based in the universe introduced in the first two seasons of the TV series. The movie in the U.S. is distributed by 20th Century Fox. The unified version released in North America had a high degree of editing, with more than 40 minutes of scenes from the individual Japanese versions cut out in order to save time, along with several plot changes (possibly to help make more sense of the movie in the absence of the deleted scenes).

Digimon Movie 4 – Revenge of Diaboromon
Also known as Revenge of Diaboromon. In this movie that takes place a year after MaloMyotismon’s defeat, the DigiDestined go up against Diaboromon again. Tai and Matt head back to the Internet to deal with him with Omnimon, while the younger DigiDestined go to deal with the rampage of a swarm of Kuramon (Diaboromon’s Fresh form). With the help of Angemon and Angewomon (with T.K. and Kari), Omnimon was able to destroy Diaboromon again, but it turned out to be a trap.

Digimon Movie 5 – Battle of the Adventurers
Takato visits his cousin Kai in Okinawa, only to learn of an evil plan conducted by Mephismon/Mephistomon. Early mistranslated promo information cemented the idea that this movie was out of continuity with the series, but in the finished movie, there is very little to suggest that this could be true. Given that Kai goes on to appear later in the series itself, and knows who Guilmon is at the time, would suggest that the movie is in continuity.

Digimon Movie 6 – Runaway Locomon
This takes place after the series finale (technically, six months after the D-Reaper was destroyed in the time slot); in it, the Tamers are planning to throw Rika a surprise party, but the Tamers are forced to try and stop a train-Digimon named Locomon, who was being controlled by Parasimon. The movie served to provide insight on Rika, and also to confirm that the Tamers were, indeed, reunited with their Partners after the series ended. It may have happened right after the event, as Renamon makes a remark to Rika that “you never change.”

Digimon Movie 8 : X-Evoultion
The Digital World is becoming so overpopulated that the super computer (Yggdrasil) that governs the Digital World can’t handle it anymore. His solution? Wipe out the vast majority of the Digimon with the X Virus. He chooses a very small percentage to be moved to a new Digital World because he plans to destroy the old Digital World. Those who were not chosen but survived anyway and moved to the new world had a rare gift known as the X-Antibody; this antibody when activated changed their appearance and made them more powerful.
Those who have the X-Antibody are generally distinguished by the X in their name and sometimes an X placed on their body somewhere. There are few with the X-Antibody that are not distinguished by an X after their name but this is because there is no version of them in existence that doesn’t have the X-Antibody so there is no need to distinguish the normal and X-Antibody apart with the X surname.

Digimon Savers the Movie
The movie is in fact a 22 minute story without any continuity to the series. Its plot revolves around Agumon, Gaomon and Lalamon, whose partners are put into an eternal sleep, along with the rest of the humans, because of a mysterious thorn that spread throughout the city.
